Views (EntityGrid)

All list screens in agents2.me — contacts, accounts, opportunities, conversations, users, and channels — use the same grid engine, the EntityGrid. You configure the screen once, give the combination a name, and reuse it.

What a view stores

ItemDescription
NameIdentifies the view in the screen's selector
Visible columnsWhich fields appear, including custom fields
Column orderThe order in which they appear, in table mode and in Kanban mode
FiltersField, operator, value, and the logic between them
ModeTable or Kanban
Kanban configurationGroup by, sort by, and totaling

Every screen is born with an immutable All view: it is the starting point and the way back if you get lost in a configuration.

Filter operators

The available operators depend on the field's type — and only the ones that make sense appear:

  • Text — equal to, not equal to, contains, starts with, ends with, is empty
  • Number and date — equal to, not equal to, greater than, less than, greater than or equal, less than or equal
  • Boolean — true/false (no "greater than")
  • Selection — the values from the options list

With more than one filter, the logic is AND, OR, or Custom — in that case you write the expression, for example (1 AND 2) OR 3. Before saving, the system validates the expression and requires that all the filters be used.

Kanban mode

When switching to Kanban for the first time, the configuration opens:

  1. Group by — any column of the selection or dropdown type. This is what creates the board's columns.
  2. Sort by and direction — the order of the cards within each column.
  3. Total by and totalization type — average, minimum, maximum, or sum of numeric fields, shown in the header of each column.

Once configured, the board opens directly. The edit menu now shows the extra Kanban fields.

View actions

ActionWhat it does
NewCreates a view by choosing a name and fields, with display order
CloneCopies the current view as a starting point
EditChanges the name, columns, and order
SharingJust for me, for everyone, or for those with my role
DeleteRemoves the view (respecting the permission)
Reset sortingReturns to the screen's default sorting
Reset widthReadjusts the column widths automatically
RefreshReloads the data with the current filters
DownloadExports what is being displayed to CSV — requires extraction permission

Best practices

  1. One view per use, not per person: "My contacts without an owner", "Opportunities in negotiation this quarter".
  2. Share by role when the criterion is the function, not the person.
  3. Avoid views with dozens of columns — Kanban mode and export get heavy.
  4. Saved filters also apply to assistants: the same views can be run via MCP (see).
